Sunday morning I visited a friends church called, “A Church Without Walls.” They’ve been meeting for about 2 months and are up to 40 people. They meet in downtown Augusta in the middle of Broad Street, as you can see there is a median where people can sit and hangout. They are seeing people come to know Christ and grow in their relationship with him. This was so cool. Their target is the homeless and the extremely low income or people living in poverty. God is using them greatly here. I could not help but to think that this is how Jesus would probably do church, minus the pulpit they have in the picture (they really use it as a sign holder). There is no issues with dress, no legalities, no politics, just people loving people and sharing God’s message of hope and salvation with them. They’ve even started a Monday night group in a nearby home for the elderly for discipleship. They have plenty of great stories already, but the funnest experience is to watch people interact who have no church experience…if they see someone they know crossing the street, they will yell out to them in the middle of the service…they just don’t know, and to me, that is cool!
