Here’s my Weekend Flashback…
- Nicki (My Wife) turned 25 on Friday
- It is getting harder and harder to shop for a gift that I can afford and make it special.
- We dined (sounds fancy) at Andrew’s Restaurant for their all you can eat seafood buffet which included crab legs, prime rib, all kinds of fresh seafood, and tons of fancy desserts…it is really good!
- Our Anniversary is on November 4th (about 2 weeks from my wife’s birthday)..Life lesson 1,000,000,000 don’t get married on or near your spouses birthday, it makes shopping twice as difficult and twice as expensive.
- My dad turned 50 on October 8, on Saturday we had a belated Birthday dinner with him in Greenville. My sister and her family drove up from Savannah and we took him to dinner at Carabbas, oh yeah my sister’s birthday was on October 7th…now can you see why I am working a 2nd job???
- We started a new series at my church called “Get in the Game.”
- The Georgia Bulldogs had a bye week this week. I hope it rests them up for the big game this weekend against the Florida Gators.
- I am a Falcons Fan and have been my entire life. We have sucked pretty much my entire life, except there were a few years that I could smile, this year we are horrible and I think we need to just call it a season so we can draft a good QB in the 2008 draft. I have always enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, I always say that they are my #2 team, and this year they are good. Saying all of that, I am not going to jump on the Patriots bandwagon and say that I am a fan…I respect them greatly for their continued success, but I truly think they are going all the way, undefeated! They are unstoppable this year.
- I am a Braves fan, but they did come from Boston and I have always loved watching the BoSox as well. Boston would have to be my #2 in baseball. I cannot stand the Yankees, so I guess it is natural that I like their rival. If the Braves ever face the Red Sox in the World Series it is going to be tough for me, but I will always pull for the Braves, however at this point in time, the Red Sox rock! They had a miracle comeback again and made a great Cleveland Indians Team look like a Minor League Baseball squad. I hope they win it all again!
- 2 of my 3 fantasy football teams had a good day yesterday, I believe both will hold on through Monday Night Football to win…the other one is 25 points down and I need 26 points from three of the greats (Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Adam Vinateri) to win and go 3 for 3 this weekend.
