Dude, funny story. It will probably wind up in a future blog post but I’ll share it here first.
When I was younger my mom made whole-wheat bread for our neighbors down the street and my brother and I would deliver it. We lived on a dirt road and in the process of carrying the rolls to their house I dropped them.
Rather than go back and face my mom’s wrath we decided to brush them off and put them back. The neighbor called my mom that afternoon and asked if she was trying out a new kind of wheat. My mom asked why and she said because it seemed like there were little pebbles of gravel in it. 🙂
Busted!

First prank I did to my brothers, and I really haven’t done many, in fact I can’t think of another! It was at Christmastime and we were living in New Orleans at the time and went to my grandparents for Christmas. My mom flew with a 7 year old (me), my 6 and 4 year old brothers and my 4 month old sister. Doing the math on our ages makes me think my mom was INSANE to have done that with out my dad!
So anyway one night my grandmother told me to go brush my teeth and that my brothers would be there soon after. While I had the toothbrush I had the brilliant idea to rub their toothbrushes into white soap so it would match the white bristles.
Oh, I thought I was clever, My grandmother came in with my brothers and watched them brush their teeth. When they started reacting and spitting and whining I thought it was great! My grandmother figured it out and I was in trouble.
My brothers enjoyed that part. But I still smile when I think of this story.
